USTA - National Tennis Center 

It was in 1881 that the first U.S. National Championship for men is held at the Newport Casino, Newport, RI. In 1978 it moved to the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadow, NY. In 1997 Arthur Ashe Stadium, named after the great tennis star who won the US Open in 1968, the largest tennis stadium in the world, seating 23,000, opened to capacity crowds. Bethpage State Park

Best known for its five world-class golf courses, including the world-renowned Black Course which was the site of the U.S. Open Championship in 2002 and 2009.
